On Tuesday, December 16th at 4:00 p.m., 50 Local Children Have The Chance To "Shop With A Jock"

December 17 2003--Cleveland Browns, Dick’s Sporting Goods, the Robert Griffith Foundation and the Kenard Lang Foundation will be joining forces to offer local children the chance to shop with 10 of their favorite Cleveland Browns players at a local Dick’s Sporting Goods store. Griffith and Lang will be on hand, as well as teammates Chris Crocker, Daylon McCutcheon, Earl Little, Michael Jameson, Antonio Garay, Sherrod Coates, Chaun Thompson and Orpheus Roye to assist the children with shopping and to enjoy a pizza party.
Browns players will each be paired up with 3-5 children and help them pick out something special for themselves or a loved one for the holidays. "Dick's Sporting Goods is extremely excited to partner with Robert, Kenard and the Browns on Shop with a Jock," said Bill Colombo, President and COO of Dick's Sporting Goods. "This event will certainly brighten the holiday season for some great kids, who will get the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts for their families while interacting with some of their favorite hometown athletes."
The Robert Griffith Foundation and Kenard Lang Foundation selected 50 children from the Cleveland City Recreation Department and the Ohio Commission on African American Males to Shop with a Jock.
